Why the module crop condensation?
This module is developed by Hoogendoorn to avoid crop condensation. With this module it is possible to foresee the effect of temperature and humidity changes based on both measurements and calculations. It determines the condensation risk and helps you to prevent energy loss. How?
First of all, the module provides parameters to set the type of crop and the size of the fruits. Obviously, the bigger your fruits, the slower they warm up. Secondly, the module provides calculations to determine the difference in fruit and dew point temperature based on fast or slow changes in greenhouse conditions. The combination of the fruit and dew temperature determines the condensation risk. In case the dew point temperature approaches the fruit temperature, the risk condensation increases. To reduce the condensation risk, measures can automatically be taken.
With this module you can make an automatic correction on ventilation, the moisture gap in the energy screen and eventually the heating, only in case of a real risk of condensation. Unnecessary use of the minimum tube and/or ventilation can thus be prevented, which saves energy.
