For the 22 ha new construction project of Finka San Antonio, the IIVO process computer will be installed in which various types of tomatoes will be grown. This first phase is scheduled for completion in mid-September. We think we can say it will be the most technological production greenhouse in all Latin America.
Hoogendoorn Growth Management will supply, besides the IIVO, Work-IT and the complete logistical software Work-IT Packaging for the 2.5 ha sorting area. This high-tech glass greenhouse will be equipped with all modern techniques. The total growth area of the complete greenhouse will be 80 ha. Work-IT is the management information system for labor efficiency, production and food safety. It combines costs with real-time information about e.g. staff performance, planning, payroll administration, quality and stock. This allows you to efficiently manage labor, production and crop health.
IIVO provides smart technology for greenhouse growers. A combination of smart software and state of the art hardware. It is capable of monitoring, controlling and maintaining any greenhouse. Allowing you to grow more, at higher quality while using minimal resources and generating maximum results.
It is not only at the Finka San Antonio location that we install the Work-IT software. The other locations, Finka Ahuehuetes and Finka Incubados, will also be equipped with this software. LetsGrow will also help them dealing with operations in the 3 different sites. This is an important tool for the growers to further optimize their cultivation.

Training the next generation of growers
Something else that is unique within the horticultural sector is that a Growers Academy will be built, with a size of 2 ha. Students will be trained in cultivation techniques and management skills in high-tech greenhouses. The Growers Academy will be equipped with the latest technologies.
These include the IIVO process computer, the most recent technological developments of LetsGrow.com, the Hortikey Plantalyzer and also the most modern sensors.
Spanish version Plant Empowerment book
Plant Empowerment is an important part of the cultivation strategy at all Finka locations and will therefore also be applied within the Growers Academy. Mauricio Revah, General Director, together with Pharis Rico, Director of HortiConnect jointly launched the Spanish version of the Plant Empowerment book this year.

Hoogendoorn has its own local branch in Querétaro, Mexico, equipped with a training center. There the Hoogendoorn team provides 24/7 service with its own warehouse to serve our customers quickly. In this warehouse we have all spare parts available.
