Healthy growth and crop development start with the proper dosage of water and nutrients. In addition, the root environment, the greenhouse climate and the properties of the substrate mat also play a role. This is all discussed during the water management workshop. The course offers support with setting the frequency, dosage and duration of the watering sessions.
For whom?
Users of a Hoogendoorn process computer who wish to improve their water management. Possibly in combination with various sensors, including the Aquabalance system.
Program
This workshop consists of three main components:
- The various climate zones in the direct vicinity of the plant, plant evaporation and the influence of greenhouse climate on water absorption.
- The properties of the various substrate mats. In addition, various watering strategies that influence the moisture content of the cultivation medium are explained extensively.
- An explanation of the structure of the watering program. In addition to the settings possibilities for your process computer, the functions of various sensors, including the Aquabalance, are discussed at length. A closer look is also taken at the nutrient values of the water (EC-drip, EC-mat and EC-drain). Finally, the course offers plenty of room for user questions about the iSii software’s water module.
